It is one of the beaches of El Fogonazo settlement, just 1.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

Nestled on the North West coast of the Dominican Republic, Playa Juan de Balanos is situated in the Western side of the country, just a short drive from Monte Cristi. Despite not being the most visually stunning beach, it more than compensates with its prime location and accessibility. Positioned on a well-traveled road and only a few minutes away from the largest city in the region, it is a favored destination for many. Regrettably, there are no public washroom facilities present. Don't hesitate to drop by, even if you're not staying close by.

Ahoy there! Let me tell you about this beach, it's so quiet you can hear a crab's legs scuttle across the sand. The water may not be crystal clear, but it's still pretty good. The shore is shallow, averaging only 3 feet deep, and it stays that way for a good 20 to 30 meters out. Perfect for the little ones to splash around in. And let me tell you, this beach is so clean you could eat off it! Plus, there are plenty of shady spots to relax in. So, grab your sunscreen and come on down to this slice of paradise.
