Ruda beach is located on the Adriatic Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 258th place out of 378 beaches in the Split-Dalmatia region 57.8 km away from its center, the city of Split. It is one of the beaches of Rukavac settlement, just 1.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and white pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Ruda beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. Daily boat rental service is located nearby.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities, sup-surfing.

To get to the beach, you need to drive along a dirt road about 2km long. Parking is located directly on the beach.

It's unfortunate that the beach on Vis Island is not as pristine as one would hope. The level of cleanliness is subpar, leaving much to be desired. It's a shame that the natural beauty of the area is marred by the lack of upkeep. It's important to note that the photos posted by Murray below are of Stiniva beach, not Ruda. It's disappointing that Google is still unable to accurately distinguish between reviews for different locations.

The bay is a serene and lovely spot, although it can become somewhat congested when numerous yachts or sailboats are present. It is recommended to visit during the early hours of the day to fully appreciate its tranquility.

The beach offers stunning azure waters that offer a splendid chance to catch a glimpse of vibrant marine life. I was fortunate enough to spot countless neon tetra near the cliffs. However, the beach can get quite crowded as numerous boats queue up to unload their passengers for a quick dip in the water before heading to the nearby islands. Although there is a bar on the beach, it can only be accessed by skilled swimmers who can keep their money dry. 😂
