This stunning beach cove offers an ideal spot for swimming and cliff jumping, with the added bonus of crystal clear waters. However, due to its compact size, you may find yourself in close proximity to your fellow beach-goers. The gentle waves make it a safe option for children, and even those venturing close to the cliffs need not worry about strong currents. The underwater world is teeming with diverse marine life, including fish, vultures, and other intriguing creatures. Be sure to conserve some energy for the strenuous walk back up to the top of the cliff, and take advantage of the available parking.
The beach is stunningly beautiful, especially during winter when my girlfriend and I visited. It was a peaceful and serene experience, with only the sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the occasional debris that the sea brought in. However, amidst the Croatian garbage that littered the beach, we also found useful items such as a child's toy and a wooden plank that we took home. The path leading down to the beach was closed during the summer due to the high volume of visitors, but we were able to drive down there without any issues. I highly recommend this beach to anyone seeking a tranquil and secluded getaway.
Our journey began on two bicycles, 15 kilometers away from Mali Bok, where we had set up camp. The arduous and lengthy route proved to be worth every bit of effort as we approached the beach, with its awe-inspiring view that left us breathless upon arrival. I would not hesitate to return to this stunning location at any time.
Cres Island boasts of its hidden gems, and one of them is the magnificent Mali Bok beach. Although reaching the beach can be quite a challenge, it is undoubtedly worth the effort. Situated below the cliff near Orlec village, the car parking is located above the cliff and is free of charge. As we made our way from the village to the beach, the road was narrow and winding. While getting to the beach was relatively easy, the journey back to the car was a daunting task. The walk-path was steep and long, and it took us at least twenty minutes to get back to the car. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water and food. The beach itself was breathtaking, with crystal blue waters that were refreshing to swim in, despite being a bit chilly towards the end of August. However, there was no shade, so it is important to protect oneself from the scorching sun. We spent our afternoon on the beach, and the temperature was just right. Our time spent there was truly enjoyable.
This beach is absolutely stunning with its pristine waters that are so clear, you can see all the way to the bottom. However, getting there requires a bit of a workout as the road leading up is steep and will have you huffing and puffing. But hey, who needs a gym membership when you can work up a sweat just to get to the beach, right? Trust us, the view from the top is worth every drop of sweat.
