Punta Rata beach is located on the Adriatic Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 2th place out of 378 beaches in the Split-Dalmatia region 42.1 km away from its center, the city of Split. It is one of the beaches of Spilje settlement, just 0.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and light fine pebble, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is very crowded place during the season.

Despite the fact that a significant part of the beach is occupied by resorts, there is still a fairly large area with free access. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities, snorkeling.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

This beach in HR is quite well-known, but it does tend to get quite crowded. If you arrive later in the day, finding a parking spot can be a bit of a challenge. During our visit in August 2022, we paid 130 HRK for all-day parking. However, you don't need to worry about paying for an umbrella since there are plenty of trees close to the beach where you can find shade.
