Plaza Podcrkavlje is located on the Adriatic Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 39th place out of 378 beaches in the Split-Dalmatia region 40.6 km away from its center, the city of Split. It is one of the beaches of Proclok settlement, just 0.1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a small several bays coastline with crystal turquoise water and light fine pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

I had a wonderful time at the beaches in Croatia. They provided free showers and restrooms, and the small stone terrain was enjoyable. There was even a rock available for cliff jumping, with a height of up to 4-5 meters. Additionally, renting beach equipment was an option. Two restaurants were conveniently located nearby. The only challenge was climbing up the stairs for about 300 meters to leave the beach. However, it was possible to park a car for free on the hill below the main road Split-dobrovnik.
