Barbariga beach is located on the Adriatic Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 24th place out of 215 beaches in the Istria region 32.1 km away from its center, the city of Pazin. It is one of the beaches of Barbariga settlement, just 1.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and rocks cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Despite the fact that a significant part of the beach is occupied by resorts, there is still a fairly large area with free access. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. This area has also a water park in the sea with various inflatable toys which constitute excellent activities for parents and children. Our experience at the beach was terrible. When we ordered food, the server rolled his eyes upon hearing our request. We asked for cheeseburgers, but were told they didn't have any cheese, so we settled for burgers instead. After waiting for about 20 minutes, we were served plain buns with patties and no condiments or toppings. To make matters worse, we were still charged the full price. I would strongly advise avoiding this place.
