Playa Cahuita is located on the Caribbean Sea (part of South Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 162th place out of 233 beaches in the Costa Rica region 134.7 km away from its center, the city of San José. It is one of the beaches of Limonal settlement, just 0.9 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Playa Cahuita coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

We headed past Playa Negra to see what the next beach was like. 5/5 for cleanliness and solitude, most of the time, even on a Saturday afternoon, we were alone. No music, no loud people, just the roar of the ocean. One lady was even bathing topless. Unfortunately, as has been the case everywhere around here this week, the waves have been quite high for much swimming, but really it didn't get any better than this on our trip for relaxation.
