Kosgoda Beach is located on the Laccadive Sea (part of Indian ocean) and it is in the 102th place out of 235 beaches in the Sri Lanka region 69.6 km away from its center, the city of Colombo. It is one of the beaches of Kosgoda settlement, just 0.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

I was fortunate enough to stumble upon a stunning beach that doubles as a perfect camping spot. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of some majestic sea turtles. The peaceful atmosphere of this beach is only disrupted during the months of September and March. Don't miss out on this tranquil oasis. (⛺️2021)
