Pasikuda Beach is located on the Bay of Bengal (part of Indian ocean) and it is in the 3th place out of 235 beaches in the Sri Lanka region 218 km away from its center, the city of Colombo. It is one of the beaches of Pasikuda settlement, just 0.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Pasikuda Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. Daily boat rental service is located nearby. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

This beach is well-known for its natural beauty and is popular among both locals and foreigners. During peak season, the beach can get quite crowded, but we visited during off-season in November and found the place to be deserted. However, if you're unfamiliar with the area, be cautious as it can be difficult to find what you're looking for. There is a chain of hotels along the beach, so access to the beach may be restricted unless you're a hotel customer. We had to pass all the hotels and find a narrow, muddy road to get to the beach. Unfortunately, during off-season, there aren't many activities or crowds, so you may not have the full experience. However, during peak season, there are plenty of fun activities such as boating and champagne popping to enjoy.
