Koh Rong Samloem Beach is located on the Gulf of Thailand (part of South China Sea) and it is in the 19th place out of 39 beaches in the Khaet Preah Sihanouk region The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

A significant part of the beach has a restricted access. The beach facilities are only available to hotel guests. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets, sea pool. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the beach was delightfully peaceful. The golden sand was a highlight of the experience, and the sea was perfect for swimming. Additionally, the beachfront resorts with stunning sea views were truly remarkable.

When it comes to beaches in Cambodia, Sarasen beach at Rong Sanleoum is the ultimate choice. The sand is white and the water is crystal clear, making you feel like you're in paradise. However, it can be a bit pricey since food and supplies are imported from the mainland. It takes about 25 minutes by speedboat from Sihanouk Ville town, but it's definitely worth it to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
