Clean, quiet, and easy to access. There are plenty of establishments nearby, a bike lane for cyclists, and it is not overly crowded. In general, it is an orderly and pleasant spot to spend the day.
Antilles beach is a small semi-urban beach situated facing west with stunning views of La Manga and Barón Island. It has a shallow shoreline with coarse, brown sand and the tranquil waters of La Manga. It is easy to get to from the highway by car along Gran Vía, between kilometers 8.5 and 9, making it a great spot for sunset-watching.
The ocean was really pleasant, with not many people around. There is a swimming pool nearby, but it's not covered. The sand was great, I'd highly suggest this spot.
Spotless, although there are some areas with sparse sand. The Mar Menor's waters are delightfully warm. If you're looking for a peaceful spot away from the hustle and bustle, this is the perfect place.
This 2021 is a bit more pristine, although it is true that there's still a swamp-like scent. The algae at the bottom is now a green color, so I'd personally wait a few years before taking a dip in the Mar Menor.
