We spent five days here in July 2014, and it was an amazing experience. We stayed in one of the studio units, which had everything we needed for the week (after we went grocery shopping, of course). The beach was just a short 15-second walk away, and it was absolutely stunning. It was practically empty when we were there, and the sand was incredibly soft. The water was also very calm during our stay, allowing me to float on my back and relax. We even had access to a kayak, which we used a few times. Peter, the host, was incredibly friendly and took care of any requests we had. He also offered car rentals at a reasonable price, which was much more convenient than going elsewhere. If we ever return to Great Exuma, this is definitely where we'll be staying.

We booked a suite overlooking the marina for our family of four, and everyone was thoroughly pleased with the accommodations. It was convenient to have the option to cook our freshly caught seafood in the room, and we appreciated being able to easily access fuel and ice every day. Our stay was fantastic, and I highly recommend it!

This was our third visit to Island Seas and each time we go, it seems to be in a more dilapidated state and the quality of service continues to decline. We have decided that we will not be returning in the future. We had to change rooms because the first one had a strong smell of mold and mildew. When we arrived, the shower curtain was inside the bathtub and despite reporting it, it still hadn't been fixed even after four hours when we returned. The front desk didn't have a blanket for the pull-out couch. On one morning, we were informed that there were only three pool towels available and were asked to check back later. The convenience store was not open during the hours that were posted. When I inquired about it after a few days, I was told that the store operates separately. However, when someone else asked, they were informed that the convenience store had closed down. Even simple requests like asking for ice became a complicated ordeal. The front desk instructed us to bring our ice bucket to the bar, but we didn't have one and they refused to provide a bag for the ice. Eventually, we were directed to the restaurant for ice. These are just a few examples of the poor communication, service, and overall experience.

I've been to many breathtaking places around the world, from Bangkok to Brazil, Monaco to Machu Picchu, but nothing can compare to the beauty of Jack's Bay. It truly is a paradise on earth. I'm excited to witness the growth of this hidden gem.

Nicholls Town beach

The beach resort on Andros Island offers a stunning view of the beach and an unforgettable sunrise every morning. The delicious dishes will keep you coming back for more, especially the Burkley's special drink. The owner and staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a fantastic stay. It truly is a breathtaking experience.
