If a beach holiday for you is primarily the sound of the surf, the cries of seagulls over the pier and leisurely walks along the coast, then you are definitely a fan of calm beaches. The most popular beaches for such a holiday in the vicinity of Ribeira are Lanzada Beach, Pipas beach, Area Grande beach.

Travelers with pets often face difficulties during their holidays, as there is often not enough information about pet-friendly beaches. The absence of special permission signs and the lack of up-to-date information on relevant resources are frequent problems. According to our records, there are about 21 approved pet-friendly beaches in Ribeira

Keep this in mind when planning your beach activities and be sure to check our filter for information on tidal ranges.

A not-so-pleasant feature of the beaches in Ribeira is the high density of boats, yachts, or other watercraft on some of them. Lanzada Beach

The beach is large and stunning.

Raeiros beach
8 Alfonso Javier Lopez

This spot is okay, but not the most remarkable of its kind. It's a pleasant enough spot to relax, but not an ideal destination for a truly memorable experience.

Castro beach
6 Juan Carlos Lopez

That place is great for visiting on the weekend, with easy access and parking. The sand is soft and the water is crystal clear. Plus, there's a bar-type booth and you can rent a pedal boat for just 5 euros for 30 minutes or 10 euros for an hour.

Terron beach II
8 Juan Carlos Montalvo

The beach has a peaceful walkway, but the water isn't particularly clear due to the algae. Taking a bath, playing, and swimming are all still acceptable activities. The plus side is that there aren't any waves. The area around us wasn't very clean, and the showers weren't in the best condition. Despite this, I would still go back.

Illa beach
6 Santiago Reyes

The beach may not be huge, but it has everything necessary for an enjoyable day out – plus, it's easily accessible.

Lavaxeira beach

That place is an ideal place to unwind and take in the scenery. However, due to its proximity to a port, the waters are not as clear as they could be. There is also a strong smell of the sea. At low tide, the beach is almost non-existent. But there's still plenty to enjoy, such as a great beach bar and a stunning sunset.
