This public beach is conveniently located just off Malindi road and offers easy access. Upon arrival, you'll find vendors selling African souvenirs and swimwear. Friendly guides are available to assist with water activities or renting floaters, and they can also direct you to changing facilities. If you're interested in professional photos, photographers are available. Beach chairs are available for rent if you'd like to relax and enjoy the ocean, and vendors selling madafu are nearby. For a fee, you can even ride a camel along the beach. There are several hotels in the area, including Milele Hotel (non-alcoholic and non-smoking), Pirates Hotel, and The New Big Tree Hotel (allowing both drinking and smoking). Local women sell food at shelters known as kibanda, and Pirates Beach is a beautiful and free spot to spend time with loved ones and swim.

The atmosphere is great, but it's really disappointing that they don't have a backup generator. When the power goes out, which happens frequently in Kenya, you'll suffer from the intense heat and lack of running water. I would only recommend going there if you're certain that there's electricity. I'm willing to visit again in hopes of having a better experience.
