Two out of the three employees are satisfactory, but the third one is quite bothersome, which is the reason why I cannot give a five-star rating.

This stunning beach is perfect for families and offers a serene atmosphere. While some may prefer to wear beach shoes to avoid the small stones in the water, the swimming is excellent. We make a conscious effort to keep the beach clean by picking up our trash and cigarette butts.

Alepochori beach

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the warmth of the summer sun. However, as we finished our swim, the sky darkened and I feared a storm was approaching. Yet, a refreshing breeze swept in and cooled the temperature, prompting us to indulge in some delicious ice cream by the shore. While the sea was delightful and the beach was pleasant, there was unfortunately some litter left behind by weekend visitors. Overall, it was a lovely spot for families to enjoy a refreshing swim.

Watch out for pollution from nearby fish processing plants, sharp stones, excessive algae from discarded fish food, and garbage.

Traganas beach is a place of unparalleled beauty, with stunning views of the bay of Almyros and the islets of Gaidoronisi and Mitro. The latter has been designated as infinitely beautiful and is also an archaeological site, with ruins from the Mycenaean period. The beach is easily accessible by foot, as there is a narrow strip of land connecting it to the mainland. The center of the beach features an impressive square with the gate to the sea, a creation of architect A.A. Alexiou. Nearby, the Flevas area boasts eternal springs that form a frozen river on the sandiest part of the beach. The clear, transparent waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling, although there are some areas with stones. Three shops offer refreshments and snacks, and the first turning left provides free camping in a green courtyard. The village nearby has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including apartments for rent, a mini market, bakeries, greengrocers, taverns, and cafes. The Androa monastery of Agia Triada is just 1 km away, and on the hill opposite the beach is the Eurosinaite Studies Foundation, which houses a vast library and a copy of the Catholicos of the Sinai Monastery. Traganas beach is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable vacation.
