We hiked the Drake Bay Trail to get to the beach, but weren't overly impressed. There were picnic tables set up in the area, surrounded by almond trees and a decent view. If you make it there by 12/1pm, you can catch a tour boat coming back from Cano Island and pay the captain $10/pp for a ride back to town.
