The shoreline is vast and pristine, perfect for walking your furry friend, taking a leisurely evening walk, or enjoying a family outing.
Breathtaking scenery, perfect for leisurely strolls, with predominantly welcoming locals. Numerous establishments that welcome furry companions. However, if you visit Morecambe Beach solely to admire the wildlife and panoramic views of the bay, you will not be let down.
The beach is fantastic, offering a wonderful promenade for leisurely strolls. However, when you gaze towards the town, you can't help but feel let down. It's yet another coastal town that seems to be on the decline. 🥲
Revisited with friends after a long time. The town has undergone significant renovations to the promenade area during my absence and looks stunning! There is a spacious, well-planned pedestrian/cycling path that stretches for several miles along the coastline. It features many thoughtfully designed structures, most of which provide information about the area. Don't forget to take a photo with the statue of the legendary Eric Morecambe! Another pleasant surprise was that the town has managed to preserve much of its nostalgic charm that I recall from my childhood. There are plenty of arcades with slot machines and fun, affordable activities 😁. The beach still boasts the familiar hard-packed sand of the west coast of England and the "where did the tide go?" view that always brings back memories of family day trips. We even indulged in a classic '99' ice cream cone from Mr Whippy with a chocolate flake 😎. A fantastic day spent strolling down a modernized version of memory lane!
Enjoyed a wonderful day with my daughter, fortunately the tide was low. However, it's important to note that there are signs cautioning about rip currents and fast sand, so exercise caution when exploring beyond the safe, dry sandy beach by the sea wall.
