Avoid using Google maps as it directs you to Quarry Road, which is not accessible by car. However, it is possible to reach the destination on foot. We decided to park at Hopeman East Beach and followed the coastal path. Despite some reviews suggesting a 15-minute walk, it took us longer due to accompanying children. Nevertheless, the effort was worthwhile as we discovered a secluded cove with intriguing caves to explore. Unfortunately, the high tide limited our exploration, so we may have missed out on some sights.
Definitely worth parking in Hopeman and taking a stroll to this spot. Three gentlemen were taking a dip here, at the end of October! You have to appreciate the Scots, but if you're feeling adventurous, why not visit this breathtaking location. Perfect for a picnic, somewhat shielded from the weather, and with a couple of caves in case of extreme conditions. Don't forget to listen to the satisfying crunch of the pebbles as the waves retreat, a truly unique sound.
The steep inclines make it challenging for those with limited mobility. Is there an alternative entrance available? My husband and daughter enjoyed exploring the rock pools. Although the beach is petite, it is well-maintained. We observed a few individuals bodyboarding, showcasing some impressive waves.
Absolutely a hidden treasure of a small beach with breathtaking caves and rock formations. Ideal little sandy beach.
Beautiful inlet along the route to Lossiemouth. An ideal spot for a picnic with a few fantastic caverns to discover. Absolutely stunning when the sun is shining.
