This long beach is plagued by a significant amount of plastic pollution throughout its entire length. It is evident that certain locals are making efforts to clean up by gathering debris and leaving it near the council bins. However, it is apparent that the magnitude of the issue requires intervention from the government and local council.
It's a great spot to visit, and it's conveniently located not too far from London.
There is a Tesco located nearby, and the beach doesn't see much foot traffic in the evenings.
I went for a walk after New Year's, and there weren't too many people. It was an amazing day with lovely weather, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The beach was very clean, and there were plenty of benches where you could sit and enjoy the view. I highly recommend visiting.
The beach is a bit random, with a mix of sandy patches and lots of pebbles. When the tide goes out, there is mud. The beaches are quite windswept, offering open skies. There are some interesting opportunities for beach combing, such as finding sea glass, amber, and the occasional shark tooth.
