This beach is truly breathtaking. I had a wonderful time taking a boat ride to the Needles. I would definitely go back again. I highly recommend it.
The beach has some great features, such as the colorful cliffs, the needles, chair lift and the small glass vials of sand that kids can fill. The downside is the yellow barrier tape around the sand, which doesn't make for good pictures. The parking charge is a bit of a rip-off, as we were directed to a field and charged £6, even though we only wanted to stay a couple of hours. National Trust members get 20% off, although it's not advertised, and parking is free later in the afternoon. It's best to avoid the money-sucking arcades. If it didn't feel like such a rip-off, it would be a much better attraction.
I will never forget the experience of walking on this pebble beach, especially when I was running. The view was stunning, with both white and colorful cliffs, and the sea was tranquil. We arrived here at dusk, and the chair lift and needle cruise were both closed, but they looked like they would be a lot of fun.
This beach is named Pebble, as it is quite pebbly in nature. It's not too hard to walk on. You can access it either by taking a chair lift or climbing 200 steps - one is free and will make your face red, while the other costs and will make your knuckles white! Much like the interesting coloured sand strata in the cliff, you can't take the sand, but you can make sand art at the attraction atop the cliff. Boat trips to the Needles are available, with the option of going fast or slow.
Pebble Beach lives up to its name. Despite the windy conditions, we still enjoyed our hour-long stroll along the pebbles, which can be difficult to traverse without proper footwear. The stunning colors of the cliffs are worth the chair lift ride down. We arrived early, so there weren't many people around, making the experience more pleasant.
