Troon beach remains consistent in its cleanliness and experiences varying levels of activity, ranging from peaceful to bustling on days with favorable weather, attracting day trippers. While it lacks extensive amenities, there is the notable South Beach Kiosk, although it lacks indoor seating. If timed right, one can relish in the beauty of stunning sunsets, and conveniently located on Portland St. are several excellent restaurants and coffee shops that offer a diverse range of cuisines just steps away from the beach.
The beach is absolutely beautiful with its clean, sandy shores. It's worth noting that it's also a filming location for the TV series Outlander. Additionally, there's a convenient carpark nearby. When we went in June during the week, it was wonderfully serene and tranquil.
The beach has stunningly clean sand, invitingly warm water, and glorious sunshine - it's an amazing way to enjoy a Friday afternoon! Moreover, if you're into plane spotting, the flight path to Prestwick Airport adds an extra element of entertainment.
I absolutely adored it! There's plenty of parking space and a fantastic feature is the presence of a public restroom! It only costs £0.30p and you can conveniently use electronic payment options by simply scanning your phone. Wow!
The beach promenade and sands were lovely. The beach was quite expansive and offered absolutely stunning views. The water was delightful and not too deep, perfect for paddling with the children. There were plenty of shops and dining options nearby, and it wasn't too difficult to find a parking spot in Troon, even though it was a very sunny day.
