The beach was absolutely adorable. We happened to experience an unexpected heatwave in Ireland, making it the ideal spot to be during that period! It was conveniently accessible and located right next to a train station. Additionally, there were generously sized public restrooms available for use, which is always a plus. If you preferred to drive, there was ample parking along the road beside the beach. I highly recommend Burrow Beach for families, couples, and even those with pets. 🥰
The beach is absolutely lovely, with a nice coastal area that isn't overcrowded at all. However, the weather during this summer wasn't great, so it might get busier on hot days. It's a great spot for leisurely walks, flying kites, and swimming. I highly recommend it, especially for those who enjoy swimming in the rain.
The beach is really nice and well taken care of. The water's tides aren't too high, making it easy for us to go in. The lifeguards are always attentive and ready to help.
The sand is incredibly soft, making it feel like a true getaway. The beach tends to get quite crowded on sunny days. However, when we visited in the evening around 7:30pm, it was still bustling but not too difficult to find a pleasant spot to appreciate the weather and watch the sunset.
The beach is quite long and has beautiful white sand. It's possible to walk up to Howth and enjoy all its amenities during low tide, which typically takes around 30 minutes. However, there isn't much in the surrounding area in terms of restaurants. Additionally, there is only one public toilet and changing room available.
