Donabate beach is located on the Irish Sea (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 40th place out of 56 beaches in the Leinster region 17.3 km away from its center, the city of Dublin. It is one of the beaches of Portraine settlement, just 1.7 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and light sand & pebble cover, so it is highly recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, pet owners etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

This place is amazing. The beach is clean and you can bring your dog. There is a large parking lot available.

This beach is beautiful and conveniently located near the carpark. There is a hotel nearby for food, as well as bins and toilets for convenience. The sandy beach remains accessible even during high tide, offering lovely views of Lambay Island. It is definitely one of my top picks for beaches in Dublin.

The beach near Donabate town is lovely and conveniently located within walking distance. It's a popular spot in the summer. Street parking is limited, but you can park at the nearby hotel. There's a coffee shop outside the hotel and food is available inside.
