It's a truly one-of-a-kind destination. You have the opportunity to swim while enjoying a breathtaking view of the Istanbul skyline and the sea. The beach has a rocky terrain, so it's advisable to bring water shoes for a more comfortable experience. The water is incredibly refreshing and clean overall, especially when compared to other beaches on the island, and it tends to be less crowded. However, the nearby food options are not the greatest. Additionally, if you have goggles, you can also catch a glimpse of some beautiful fish underwater.
Pros: The beach is peaceful and not overly crowded, with fairly clear water. Cons: The slope down to the water is quite steep, so it may not be suitable for everyone. Additionally, there seems to be a serious issue with trash, making it one of the dirtier beaches I've been to on the islands, with litter such as cigarettes and plastic bottle caps.
I just wanted to tell you about the amazing scene I witnessed during my ferry trip to Prince Island. Although I didn't have any intention of spending a lot of time in the area we sailed by, it seemed like a beautiful spot for a leisurely walk, especially because I noticed numerous people enjoying a swim in the pristine water. If you're thinking of visiting this place, I strongly suggest bringing your own swimming gear since the prices for such items on the islands can be quite high.
The beach offers a stunning view, but it is quite rocky. Without the right equipment, such as water shoes, there is a risk of getting cuts, bruises, or slipping. The descent is also quite steep and slippery, especially after a rainy day. Nonetheless, the sunset was absolutely beautiful, and I had a fantastic time!
The beach was absolutely stunning and surprisingly not crowded at all during our visit in mid-May. It was mostly locals and just a few of us. We found a little beach bar where we could enjoy a beer for 40try, and there were plenty of free sun beds scattered all along the beach. However, it's important to be cautious of the jellyfish in the water. Although I accidentally touched some, I didn't get stung. A local informed us that they are harmless, but it's always better to err on the side of caution. Additionally, there were numerous cats on the island, so make sure to check the ferry schedule to ensure you don't miss the last one back to Istanbul or wherever you need to go.
