Located in Yenifoça, my summer house in Gencelli holds a special place in my heart. When I first purchased the cottage 35 years ago, I recall seeing elderly individuals, aged between 90-100, being brought to the beach by their loved ones to watch the sunset. It's unfortunate that this tradition no longer exists, but it's a reminder that life is fleeting. Interestingly, the name Gencelli is said to have originated from the phrase Young Fifty, which adds to the town's charm. Despite being situated near iron and steel factories, the air quality in Gencelli remains pristine. The direction of the wind ensures that there is no air pollution, allowing for a refreshing and rejuvenating experience.
The beach has seen some improvements from previous years, with the addition of umbrellas provided by the municipality. However, the waves have left some litter and bags thrown by careless visitors, resulting in a slightly dirty appearance. It would be beneficial for visitors to be more mindful of their surroundings and dispose of their waste properly. On a positive note, the nearby tea garden offers a peaceful retreat for those seeking a tranquil atmosphere.

The shoreline is characterized by a steep and somewhat profound slope, with charming cafes lining the coast. Additionally, a man-made beach has been established along the seaside.
