Altinkum beach is located on the Aegean Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 2th place out of 47 beaches in the Aydin region The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is very crowded place during the season.

A significant part of the beach is occupied by beach clubs with limited access The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

The beach is absolutely stunning. There are convenient amenities nearby such as cafes, restaurants, and shops where you can purchase any forgotten items. On the beach, locals sell delicious hot corn, simit, sweets, and water. However, the prices are quite high. For instance, a bottle of water costs 1.75 tl at the shop, but they sell it for 10 tl on the beach. After a refreshing swim, you can rinse your feet with fresh water. Additionally, there are clean restroom facilities and changing cabins available.

This beach is considered one of the best and most popular in Turkey. It offers affordable prices, with 35TL (2022) for two long chairs and an umbrella, as it is managed by the local municipality. The sandy bottom is mostly smooth, with occasional rocks and seaweed. It is a great choice for families with children and couples, but it is recommended to arrive early to avoid overcrowding in the afternoon. The water is generally clean in the morning, but it becomes choppier and murkier as more people arrive. Here's a helpful tip: If you bring your own chair and portable low table to the western end of the beach (the right end when facing the sea), you can enjoy the calm and coolness of the evening. While you won't be able to see the sunset, the beauty of the water becomes truly incredible as the crowds disperse. You can swim as much as you like while it gradually gets darker. The place is safe and peaceful. Although there are other beaches nearby, most of them are either rocky, littered, or too isolated. However, this beach is only a few meters away from the restaurants. Come at the right time and experience it for yourself.
