Once you come to terms with the fact that the we love nature aspect is insincere, you can fully appreciate the tranquility of the secluded location and the quality of the food. However, it's important to manage your expectations regarding the level of service. Most of the staff seem to be on vacation themselves, as they only seem active during meal times and appear more relaxed than you throughout the rest of the day. It becomes evident that you are more of an inconvenience to their holiday. Moreover, the lack of responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness means that mess can linger for a day or even longer. If you're interested in visiting Bonjuk, I recommend considering signing up for a job to stay there for free instead of paying for your stay.
A phrase that perfectly encapsulates the experience at this location is that wealthy individuals pay to experience a sense of poverty. There are certainly positive aspects to this place, such as the friendly staff, convenient access to the beach, and a pleasant and beautiful atmosphere. However, there are also negative aspects that made this weekend quite disappointing: 1. Accommodation: There are various options available, including tent spaces (priced at 60 € per day), large tents (around 250 € per person per day), pre-set tents with shared shower and toilet facilities, and air-conditioned rooms priced at 120 € per person per night. If two people share a room, it would cost 240 € per day. The air-conditioned rooms are very old and cramped, and the actual rooms look different from the photos on the website. If you opt for a room with a shower, be prepared for low water pressure, making it difficult to properly wash yourself and your hair in the evening. Additionally, there is no hot water available in the evenings. 2. Food: The price includes three meals a day. However, it is important to note that the meals consist solely of cold vegan dishes without any options for hot meals or protein products. When mealtime arrives, signaled by a specific sound, a long line forms with residents and staff alike. You will find yourself waiting in this line for over 20 minutes to reach the food tables and pile a mound of cold food onto a regular-sized plate, hoping to get enough to satisfy your hunger. The breaks between breakfast and lunch are also quite long, lasting 4 hours, and between lunch and dinner, the gap is even longer, spanning over 6 hours. As a result, you will feel hungry most of the time.❌ Furthermore, the staff consistently delays serving the meals by an hour or more, despite having a schedule. 3. Additionally, if you are traveling with children, be prepared for the fact that the local food options will not be suitable for them, and no activities will be offered specifically for children. You will need to constantly entertain your child and pay a significant amount of money for an extra serving of plain pasta, which is typically what children prefer to eat. In conclusion, this place is in dire need of repair or reconstruction and requires a professional manager who understands how to establish effective business processes in such establishments. Adjustments to the current approach to the services provided are necessary. Considering the exorbitant price, the quality is extremely poor.
The beach had a captivating atmosphere and was run by individuals who claimed to have spiritual connections. However, they charged exorbitant prices for an illegal activity. Unfortunately, I suffered from food poisoning on my first night. I paid a hefty $700 for a 2-night stay for 3 people, which included meals. The accommodation consisted of a spacious room with a queen bed and an L-shaped sofa, but there was no air conditioning. Additionally, the resort disapproved of guests bringing their own drinks. In conclusion, the place was undeniably beautiful, but the high cost did not justify the experience. It would greatly benefit from more competent management.
To prevent frustration and disappointment, it's best to steer clear of this beach. Despite the staff's claims of being mindful and spiritual, their lack of basic communication skills and professionalism is truly surprising. It's astonishing how they struggle to understand simple emails or engage in a proper phone conversation. Even if you diligently adhere to all the guidelines and submit everything on time, they still have the nerve to reject your booking without any valid explanation. They completely disregard your efforts and leave your entire holiday plan in ruins. It's a complete disregard for customer service and a complete waste of your time and energy.
This beach is like a second home to me, where I feel the most comfortable. It was three years ago when we first stumbled upon this paradise, and I instantly fell in love. Every person I've encountered, every animal I've interacted with, and every experience I've had here hold immense significance to me. It's an unforgettable place that cannot be replicated, providing a sense of security. I am grateful to the Bonjuk family for everything they have done. My affection for them is wholehearted. 💜
