The absence of sand and the chilly temperature of the ocean may not appeal to everyone. The seabed is covered with pebbles, so it is advisable to wear protective footwear to avoid any discomfort.
What a delightful surprise to stumble upon this charming seaside community! The picturesque houses are meticulously maintained by the friendly locals who take great pride in their neighborhood. It's refreshing to see residents dining on their balconies and terraces, without hiding behind fences or curtains, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. This European enclave exudes a relaxed and idyllic way of life. What struck me the most was the proximity of the houses to the shoreline, yet the locals don't mind sharing this small section of the beach with visitors. They warmly greet beachgoers with smiles and even offer refreshing watermelon to share. It's truly a remarkable place, a hidden gem that's waiting to be discovered.
I absolutely love the ocean at this beach. It's not the touristy spots, cafes, or bars that keep me coming back, it's simply the sea itself. The view of the lush green hills from the water, the fresh air, the cool water, and the stunning sunsets are all reasons why this place is so special. It's no wonder that some of the Greek Gods chose to reside here - even Aphrodite had her beauty bath in these waters. Legend has it that the famous beauty contest between Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite took place here, but that's just hearsay.
The ocean is a delightful place to take a dip, but its cleanliness seems to diminish with each passing year. August brings an overwhelming amount of people, primarily from the middle class.
