The Secret Beach is located on the Gulf of Thailand (part of South China Sea) and it is in the 76th place out of 95 beaches in the Surat Thani region 103.1 km away from its center, the city of Surat Thani. It is one of the beaches of Haad Mae Haad settlement, just 0.8 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

This beach is a fantastic spot to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle. There's a good mix of shaded and sunny areas to choose from, and the water is pleasantly shallow. You'll find people snorkeling and kayaks available for rent. There's also a small restaurant with an appealing menu, although I didn't have a chance to try it. Restrooms are available for a small fee of 20 baht.

Unfortunately, the iced coffee was too milky and overly sweet. It would be better if they asked the customer's preference. The chicken burger was decent, but there is definitely room for improvement. The prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly.

There's this awesome new beach bar that recently opened up. It's a great spot to grab a few beers, relax in a hammock, and go snorkeling. I had the whole beach to myself for hours, and it felt like my own personal paradise within a paradise. I'm really excited to see how they further develop the place when I return to Koh Phangan next time.
