Monkey Beach is located on the Andaman Sea (part of Indian ocean) and it is in the 7th place out of 75 beaches in the Krabi region 39.1 km away from its center, the city of Krabi. It is one of the beaches of Loh Dalum settlement, just 1 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and white fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

The beach is stunning, but it's important to be cautious of the monkeys. They have a tendency to try and rummage through your belongings and may even attempt to attack you. However, once they realize there's no food in your bag, they'll typically leave it alone. If they start running towards you, it's best to head towards the water. Fortunately, the staff on the beach were helpful in keeping the monkeys at bay after they ran towards me. Despite the monkey situation, it's still a fantastic spot for kayaking.

Phi Phi Island boasts some truly breathtaking beaches, and this one is no exception. We opted for a kayak to access it, arriving just as the sun was beginning to set. The pristine white sand only added to the beach's natural beauty. Although we were disappointed not to spot any monkeys, we assumed they might have retreated for the night. I did manage to take a quick swim, but the rocks in the water were quite treacherous, so I would advise caution. All in all, it was an unforgettable experience, and the sunset was simply stunning.
