Aracagy Beach is located on the South Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 4th place out of 30 beaches in the Maranhão region 13.1 km away from its center, the city of Sao Luis. It is one of the beaches of Paco do Lumiar settlement, just 8.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

The beach in Sao Luis was decent, though it was a bit far from the city center. However, it was quieter than other beaches nearby. There were a few restaurants available for both eating and drinking.
