Morro do Careca, the “bald hill” of Natal, is a towering symbol of Rio Grande do Norte, standing tall at 120 meters (390 ft.). Once a popular spot for recreation and entertainment, bathers and tourists would climb up the hill and slide down on a board called skibunda. However, since the late 1990s, the hill has been closed to visitors to protect the dunes and vegetation, which aid in safeguarding against erosion and maintaining the hill's height. Despite the closure, the beach remains a hub of activity, attracting surfers, windsurfers, kitesurfers, and stand-up paddle enthusiasts. Locals and tourists alike flock to the tents on the boardwalk and the shore, enjoying the sea full of bathers. The best spot for bathing is in the right corner, nestled between the end of the boardwalk and Morro do Careca. Here, the sea is calm and inviting, and visitors can indulge
The beach is mediocre at best. It's suitable for a leisurely stroll and taking a few snapshots, but it falls far short of being a top-notch beach.

If you're into sand and scorching sun, you might find this beach to be a decent spot. The dunes are nice enough, I suppose, if you're into that sort of thing. But don't expect anything mind-blowing or particularly unique. It's just sand. And lots of it.
Although the beach was undoubtedly stunning, I couldn't help but feel a slight sense of unease throughout my visit. There seemed to be a lack of security measures in place, which left me feeling a tad vulnerable. Despite this, the natural beauty of the beach was truly breathtaking, and I found myself lost in the serene atmosphere. The crashing waves and gentle breeze provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing day by the sea. Overall, while I had some concerns about safety, I still thoroughly enjoyed my time at this picturesque beach.
