It is one of the beaches of Aritagua settlement, just 5.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. The lack of crowds is a definite plus, but don't forget to pack your own refreshments - there's no convenience store to be found here. Praia do Norte, situated eight kilometers away from the city center, is a barren wasteland that requires more attention. Although it is of moderate length, it is not worth visiting as it lacks beauty and charm. The beach has a vast expanse of white sand, but it is not enough to make up for the lack of tourist amenities. The ocean is eerily calm, making it an uneventful spot for those seeking adventure. The beach is only suitable for those who want to take a leisurely stroll, exercise, or engage in aerobic activities. It is not a place for families to enjoy a day out.
