Estopa Beach is located on the South Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 108th place out of 375 beaches in the Rio de Janeiro region 73.6 km away from its center, the city of Río de Janeiro. It is one of the beaches of Itacurussa settlement, just 7.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Estopa Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. Daily boat rental service is located nearby. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

The beach is excellent, with pristine, transparent, and tranquil waters. It can be reached either by following a trail lined with araçá or pinta trees or by boat. There are accommodations available, although they tend to be fully booked on weekends. Additionally, you'll find numerous jet skis and speedboats anchored nearby. Overall, it's a fantastic spot for relaxation.

Estopa beach is incredibly secluded with only a few houses, making it an ideal spot for relaxation. The ocean is incredibly tranquil, creating a natural pool with minimal waves, perfect for families with young children. There are no restaurants or bars available, only a small convenience store that may not always be open. Therefore, if you're renting a house, it's crucial to bring all the necessary supplies, including insect repellent. To reach the beach, you'll need to hire a boat taxi. I experienced a temporary power and water outage after a heavy rain, but it was resolved the following day. I would recommend bringing candles and a flashlight in case of such unexpected situations.
