Puruba Beach is located on the South Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 158th place out of 228 beaches in the São Paulo region 174.7 km away from its center, the city of San Paolo. It is one of the beaches of Ubatumirim settlement, just 4.4 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Puruba Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

This beach in Ubatuba is truly stunning and while it may be a bit further out from the central region, it's still quite easy to get to by either car or bus from the green bus terminal. To reach the beach, you'll need to cross the Puruba river, so it's important to check the tides beforehand to make sure the crossing is smooth. During my visit, the water was at most thigh-high at its deepest point. The beach itself is amazing, with the river on one side and the sea on the other. There aren't any kiosks or shops around, but that's part of what makes it so great - it's incredibly clean and usually not crowded.
