Sao Simao Beach is located on the South Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 49th place out of 89 beaches in the Rio Grande do Sul region 117.3 km away from its center, the city of Porto Alegre. It is one of the beaches of Praia de Sao Simao settlement, just 0.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, pet owners etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

I visited a beach with golden sand and it was absolutely beautiful. The view was breathtaking and the water was crystal clear. I couldn't get enough of the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. I also noticed an abandoned house in front of the chapel and I'm curious about its history.
