Playa de Pechon is located on the Atlantic ocean and it is in the 49th place out of 49 beaches in the Cantabria region 56.2 km away from its center, the city of Santander. It is one of the beaches of Pechon settlement, just 1.1 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and rocks cover, so it is highly recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

Playa de Pechon coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

Getting to the beach is quite simple: just take a short walk along the trail. Parking is located at some distance, within 300 meters.

Caution: This is not a typical beach like the camping beach or the Pechon beach where you can easily drive to. Instead, it requires a hike through the mountains and then a turn off. The only way to reach it is by foot, and unfortunately, I don't have access to a private estate. However, there is a beach nearby that can be accessed on foot, either by staying at the campsite or by visiting the beaches near the town of Pechon.

We stumbled upon it unexpectedly, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The kids thoroughly enjoyed being able to walk over to the small island on the beach. Access to the island was made possible by a steep ramp designated for pedestrians.
