Playa el Castillico is located on the Mediterranean Sea and it is in the 74th place out of 158 beaches in the Murcia region 35.7 km away from its center, the city of Murcia. It is one of the beaches of Los Saez settlement, just 1.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a small bay with blue water and gray sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Playa el Castillico coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, showers. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. This area has also a water park in the sea with various inflatable toys which constitute excellent activities for parents and children. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

The shallow sea is perfect for kids to splash around in, and the beach bars are ideal for parents who want to relax and watch. There's plenty of parking, so you won't have to worry about finding a spot.

This beach is an ideal spot for toddlers, little children, and elderly people to take a dip. It's also perfect for water sports like sailing and windsurfing, and there are several schools available for lessons. The water temperature is pleasant all year round, although it's not always crystal clear. There are freshwater showers and taps to wash off the sand, as well as areas for those with disabilities. For a snack, the food and drink kiosks offer the best options, and you can often reserve a spot on the same day or even earlier. It's important to remember that reservations are a must in July and August. Most importantly, sunscreen should be used from 11 am to 5 pm from May to September, and it's important to offer water to children and elderly people frequently.

This beach is a great spot for the kiddos, with its calm waters and lack of current. The temperature of the lagoon is pleasantly warm, too. There's plenty of beach bars and shops around, and parking in the back streets is a breeze. No doubt, this is our favorite beach so far.
