It is a long bay with crystal blue water and light sand & pebble cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. The Promenade in Altea is nice, and the town itself is lovely, but the beach itself is a bit of a letdown. What's more, it's not easily accessible either.

The walkway is pleasant, but the beaches in Altea are filled with rocks rather than sand. These round stones are a dull grey color and are not aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, the rocks are difficult to traverse and uncomfortable to lie on.

That place is a great find! It's situated in a secluded bay, so it's peaceful and quiet. The sand is light and there are pebbles scattered throughout. The depth of the water is surprisingly deep, making it a great spot for a quick dip or a leisurely swim.
