During the summer, Hon Dua beach is a serene and tranquil haven, akin to the peacefulness of a deserted island. The mornings are perfect for fishing, bird-watching or simply admiring the coral in its undisturbed state.
Hon Dua is a petite island, its size only half that of Chua Hon. The island is surrounded by rocky cliffs that jut out of the water, some of which are submerged, making it difficult for boats to dock anywhere except for the solitary sandy beach located on the western side. The island's name, Hon Dua, is derived from the abundance of prickly pineapples that grow in clusters on the island. The gravel soil is home to water spinach that spreads around the island, while the shrubs bloom beautifully and emit a subtle fragrance. The island's scenery is both desolate and peaceful, with the occasional appearance of mainland birds, particularly gongs and turtles. The overall view of Hon Dua is fascinating and unique.
