We enjoyed a lovely half-day at the beach, playing in the waves that brought back memories of Thailand. The ocean water was pleasantly warm! Although there were only a few, the jellyfish we encountered were surprisingly large. The sensation of accidentally brushing against them in the water was quite chilling. As for the aftermath of human gatherings... Seriously, can people really be so careless with litter?????? If you bring it, please take it with you when you leave!!! The trash bin near the beach has been overflowing for a while now, with garbage scattered all around, making the area far from pristine. However, we must take responsibility for our actions... Nature is not to blame for this mess.
I have not visited the Mayak sanatorium, but I have explored the Mayak beach. The beach lacks amenities such as restrooms and dressing rooms, but the water quality is excellent. Algae can be found along the shore, as is common in many places, but there is a designated parking area available.
The shoreline and ocean are stunning, a beauty that is independent of human influence. The beach, unfortunately, lacks proper upkeep, with dilapidated guesthouses surrounding it, creating a rather dismal scene. The road leading to the beach is in disrepair, and litter is scattered everywhere. Despite these challenges, there is optimism that efforts will be made to improve this location.
Fantastic spot for setting up camp!
The pathway is narrow, making it difficult for all vehicles to navigate through; in the summer months, a small bus halts close by (bus number 18). There are no facilities available such as changing rooms, shelters, or loungers. The shoreline is stunning: sandy, with polished stones, and gradually deepening, making it ideal for families with young kids to unwind and enjoy.
