This beach is great for a leisurely walk with your family, and the view of the untamed southern landscape from the trail is breathtaking. However, if you're looking to swim, it might be best to consider a different location.
The path leading to Cap Jaune from the beach is definitely worth taking a detour for! Although the cliffs at the yellow cap may be a bit underwhelming due to the trees blocking the view, the hour-long walk is still enjoyable.
The beach is comprised of black sand and rocks and is surrounded by vacoas, creating a tranquil atmosphere. Additionally, there is a stunning display of lava in the sea. Unfortunately, swimming is not allowed due to the presence of sharks. To reach Cap Jaune, a walk must be taken from this beach.
The beach is situated amidst cliffs and the sea, but swimming is not advised due to the strong current. It's worth noting that the beach is seasonal, as it becomes rocky and inaccessible during a certain period of the year until the black sand returns and reshapes the beach. However, you can still enjoy a leisurely stroll along the coast and take in the stunning Vincendo blower, or opt for a walk to Cap Jaune.
The beach is absolutely stunning with black sand or pebbles depending on the sea's mood. Despite claims that swimming is not allowed, it is actually permitted and there are even showers available. However, the beach can be dangerous due to strong currents and the presence of sharks, as indicated by warning signs and emergency numbers with a shark drawing on them. Though the warning sign looks more like a helicopter to the reviewer, there have been no reported shark attacks at the beach. During summer, the beach is crowded with people, including children splashing around at the water's edge and young people having fun with the waves further out. On weekends and during school holidays, the beach can get extremely busy with traffic and even camping. Just before the beach, there is a small port where canoes were once used for fishing, and though there have been shark attacks there in the past, it was a long time ago. A path leading to Cap-Jaune can be found about 10 meters up the road, which is another beautiful spot worth visiting. Locals used to call the beach "La Returned" before it was named Vincendo. Recently, panels have been installed prohibiting camping and swimming, with fines up to 38€, and warning of shark danger with a fine up to 450€. Despite this, people still splash around at the beach, and the showers remain available. However, the reviewer warns that the beach can still be dangerous, so visitors should be cautious.
