The bathrooms could use some improvement, but overall I would rate it a 4 due to the breathtaking view. The view is absolutely stunning. The accommodations for sleeping are satisfactory. Additionally, there are restaurant facilities on site.

Kaori Resort is situated on the beach in the upscale area of Pemba. It is popular among locals due to its affordable prices compared to neighboring establishments. The resort exudes an East African atmosphere rather than a Mozambican or Portuguese one. Their kitchen offers a diverse range of delicious dishes. It is definitely worth giving it a shot.

The service was excellent. The staff was professional and friendly, which was unexpected for a remote location like this. The lady who served our table used techniques that you would typically find in top restaurants in Lisbon, Paris, or London. We ordered grouper and a total of four different dishes, and everyone at our table was extremely satisfied with the quality and presentation. We were also grateful to Mr. Babu, the owner, who came to our table and spent a long time chatting with us. It was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend Kauri as the top place to stay and visit in Pemba.
