This beach is simply fantastic, boasting a generous expanse of soft sand and only a smattering of rocks. The waves are gentle enough to allow for a leisurely swim and a delightful frolic in the water. However, it's important to note that the water does deepen rather rapidly, so caution is advised for those who are not confident swimmers.
This beach offers a serene atmosphere with fewer crowds and a cleaner environment. It's a great spot to mingle with the locals and enjoy a more relaxed experience compared to the hustle and bustle of other hotel areas in the zona romantica. The vendors are also less aggressive, providing a more peaceful beach experience. If you need any beach essentials, you can rent an umbrella or grab a bite to eat at Mangoes while lounging on their beach chairs. Overall, this beach is a hidden gem for those seeking a tranquil and enjoyable beach day.
The shoreline may have some rocky patches, but once you step into the water, the surface is smooth and inviting. The beach is serene and skillfully maintained, providing a relaxing atmosphere for visitors. However, I suggest avoiding the southern direction and instead heading north for a more enjoyable experience.
We decided to check out this beach due to its proximity to our Airbnb located in the Versalles neighbourhood. Although the area has a lot of ongoing construction, don't be discouraged as the beach is still accessible. Simply follow the directions provided on Google Maps. The beach tends to be quite crowded with numerous vendors. However, they do offer umbrella rentals which is a plus. The rental prices vary greatly, so it's best to shop around. We managed to find a vendor who only charged us $50 pesos for an umbrella. The sand here is a dark brown colour and appears to be littered with debris. Additionally, due to the presence of horses carrying tourists along the shoreline, there is a risk of encountering animal waste. The water didn't look particularly clean to us, so we opted not to go for a swim. Overall, this beach is not one of our favourites.
The atmosphere at this beach is laid-back and welcoming, with many locals enjoying the sun and sand. Beach volleyball is a popular activity, and the vendors are friendly without being too aggressive. You can find delicious fresh fruit and succulent shrimp on offer, but there's no pressure to buy. The sand is decent, with some small rocks scattered throughout, making it ideal for swimming or simply lounging in the water. Overall, it's a fantastic spot to relax and soak up the seaside ambiance.
