The Mahahual Beach was an absolute marvel to behold. The water was so clear that you could see the ocean floor, and it was impeccably clean. The beach itself was very well-kept and had ample seating for all visitors. Our excursion package included an open bar and the restrooms were spotless, thanks to the diligent employees. It's wise to bring cash with you as there are numerous street vendors selling scrumptious fruits, street tacos, and corn cups. However, be prepared to haggle with the vendors as it's a common practice.
This beach is a real gem - that is, if you're willing to pay the price for just a small slice of paradise. Only a measly 10% of the beach is actually accessible to the public, and let me tell you, it's not cheap to be the boss of that tiny strip of sand. But fear not, my frugal friends, for there is still hope. The Federal pere offers free access to the beach, and while it may not be the most glamorous option, it's certainly a way to save some cash. Just be warned, the ride up to the beach is not for the faint of heart, and once you arrive, you may be greeted by a not-so-pleasant aroma of funky seaweed. But hey, that's just Mother Nature's way of keeping things interesting, right?
The beach is quite dirty and overrun with seaweed, resulting in the locals fencing off certain areas to create small, shallow pools in the sea. Unfortunately, our experience at this beach was not enjoyable. However, the shops located on the sidewalk were interesting and provided a fun area to stroll around.
The beach that is closest to Costa Maya in Mexico is a wonderful spot to spend a day on the strip. The beer and food are incredibly inexpensive, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers. Additionally, the beach is perfect for scuba diving, as it is possible to dive right from the shore without the need for a boat.
The beach is petite and lacks an abundance of sand. The entire stretch is inundated with an abundance of tables and sunbeds, making it challenging to discover a spot without incurring a fee. The ocean is quite shallow and riddled with nets, but the area around the lighthouse offers a better experience. During daylight hours, the beach is teeming with visitors from cruise ships, but after their departure, it transforms into a serene haven. The highlight of the location is undoubtedly the charming town, which features an array of delightful shops lining the coastline.
