Playa Virgen is located on the Caribbean Sea (part of South Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 47th place out of 98 beaches in the Quintana Roo region The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

I cannot fathom how people perceive this beach as enchanting. It appears to be entirely man-made, devoid of any natural elements. The palm trees are meticulously aligned with one another, leaving no room for spontaneity or organic growth. There are countless other beaches that boast breathtaking beauty, such as Xpu-ha. To top it off, the admission fee is a staggering 200mxn per individual. What a peculiar world we live in.

The beach was remarkably serene, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Although we yearned to bring our own beverages, we were required to purchase them on-site. The entry fee of 200 pesos per individual was a minor inconvenience, but the tranquil surroundings made it all worthwhile.
