This place is fantastic. It doesn't get the recognition it deserves. The water is crystal clear and there's a wide stretch of sandy beach.
I generally don't give five-star reviews unless I have an exceptional experience, but I couldn't help but wonder if this place was deserving of it. The beach is pleasantly warm and made even better by its shallow water near the shore. Just a friendly reminder, don't forget to wear sandals and apply plenty of sunscreen.
There is so much plastic trash on the beach. We really need a law to prohibit food items in one-time use containers. Additionally, we need a designated area for plastic bottles and cans. It's disheartening to see the beach covered in garbage, including a plastic flag put up by irresponsible politicians that ended up blowing away and staying there. There should be a ban on disposable cups, cutlery, and polystyrene as it can be found everywhere, even in the bushes. It breaks down into microplastics, which we eventually consume. It's disappointing that the mayor is not prioritizing Agenda 2030 or the SDGs. Implementing a DRS bottle deposit system is necessary to effectively clean up the entire coastline and water.
Miramar beach and escollera in the Tampico, Ciudad Madero area are absolutely stunning and take your breath away.
The beach was really lovely, but it was quite windy when I visited. There was sand all over the place, haha! Oh, and remember to feed the racoons. I'll definitely have to come back on a nicer day.
