About

Maafushi Beach is located on the Laccadive Sea (part of Indian ocean) and it is in the 9th place out of 20 beaches in the Haddhunmathi region 19.2 km away from its center, the city of Fonadhoo. It is one of the most beautiful beaches of Fonadhoo settlement, just 19.2 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and white fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

Maafushi Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

5 more beaches are also available within a 5 km radius. The best one is Rhaa Resort Beach, which has a rating of 9.

Maafushi Beach (Haddhunmathi) is located outside the Fonadhoo settlement, which may cause some difficulties for travelers who stay far from the coast. However, the remoteness from the village is not always a bad thing. Lovers of quiet rest know, the farther the beach, the fewer crowds.

The beach stretches on the coast of the Laamu Atoll and the correct question is not how to get to Maafushi Beach, but what mode of transport can be used to get to it, because this part of the coast is inaccessible by land. The beach can only be reached by water and you have to rent a boat to get there.

The experience at this beach was terrible. The manager, who was from Sri Lanka, was extremely rude and abusive.
