Myeongsa Beach is located on the Sea of Japan (part of Pacific ocean) and it is in the 10th place out of 27 beaches in the South Gyeongsang region 66.2 km away from its center, the city of Namhae-eup. It is one of the beaches of Jeogu settlement, just 0.7 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season. There is a campsite located nearby.

Mangsan is a great spot for a hike, and it's also an ideal location for an overnight camping trip in a car.

I went camping at this beach. The sea was tranquil and many families were there to have a barbecue. Unfortunately, all the seating was taken by 1 PM. The bathrooms were clean, but the water pressure in the sinks was low. Camping overnight was not advised. I was kept awake by the chickens crowing every hour, so I had to leave early in the morning. Additionally, the road nearby made it difficult to relax. If you're looking for a place to eat and play on the beach, this is a good option.
