Yonghwa Beach is located on the
Sea of Japan (East Sea) and it is in the
16th place out of 56 beaches in the
Gangwon region
The beach is
located in an urban area, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.
It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand,
so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different
categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children
etc.
It is partially crowded during the high season.
Please note that the area nearby is possible for wild camping.
Yonghwa Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.
In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities, sea kayaking. This beach is popular for windsurfing or kiteboarding. There are also some surf spots.
Fans of active recreation can take part in beach volleyball.
This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.
4 more beaches are also available within a 5 km radius. The best one is Jangho Beach,
which has a rating of 7.8.
Yonghwa Beach is located in Gangwon
within Chogok-ri, which makes it
